Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is allocated to schools to support the learning of children from low-income families which includes those children who are known to be eligible for free school meals (FSM) or have been ‘looked after’ for at least a day. There is also an additional allocation for adopted children.

It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for individual pupils within their responsibility.
