Woodcroft School dates from 1970 when it was built as
a Primary School to serve its developing environment. In
1981 it was reorganised to become a First School.
As a First School catering for children between the ages of
4 and 9 years, it belongs to a group of schools known as
the Leek Education Partnership.
The school is set on the top of a hill, overlooking the town
of Leek with wonderful views over the Peak District and the
The natural catchment area of the school comprises
the surrounding Wallbridge and Wetenhall Estates.
Ladderedge and Longsdon are also within its boundaries.
